We’ve been the importer. We know what it takes.
Fifteen years of importing specialist products. Many imports from around the world. And first-hand experience of what happens when a shipment needs more than a standard answer.
“In many cases,
we had to work
it out ourselves.”
Sound familiar?
You explain what you need. The freight agent says they can help. Then the difficult questions start — and somehow, you’re the one left finding the answers.
Over the last 15 years, we’ve made many imports of specialist products and worked with freight forwarders and agents across sea freight, container shipments and air freight. Too often, we encountered slow communication, uncertainty and an inability to deal with the details that made our goods different.
In many cases, we had to take those details on ourselves: find the right person, understand what was being asked for and work through the next step. If you’ve ever been left doing the job you thought you’d handed over, you’ll probably recognise the experience.
We continue to import specialist products ourselves. The experience behind SIS is current, practical and still growing.

The paperwork.
The people.
The practical reality.
Sensitive shipments demand an understanding of what actually needs to happen, who needs to be involved and which questions cannot be left unanswered.
Our importing experience includes working with APHA, dealing with animal licensing and live inspections, communicating with veterinary contacts and speaking directly with importing airports in the UK.
These are conversations we’ve had as importers, with the practical responsibility of getting the details right. That experience gives us a nuanced understanding of specialist cases — including the places where a straightforward-looking enquiry can become complicated.
We bring that knowledge to the questions we ask, the information we collect and the care we put into assessing each requirement.
Accepting an enquiry is easy.
Understanding what it takes
is where experience counts.
We know how much it matters to feel that someone has understood your goods and is taking the details seriously. Our ambition is to bring the knowledge we’ve built as specialist importers to businesses facing the same challenges.
Bring us the unusual requirement, the sensitive shipment or the question you’ve struggled to get answered. We’ll use our experience to work through what needs attention and give you a clear next step.
We’re here to help you get the difficult details right.
Tell us about your specialist requirementEvery shipment is assessed individually. Availability depends on the goods, route, regulatory requirements, provider arrangements and insurance. Our experience and contacts do not imply endorsement by APHA or any airport.
