This notice explains how Specialist Import Services (“SIS”, “we”) uses the information you give us through this website.
Who we are
Specialist Import Services is the data controller for the information collected on this website. You can contact us at tom@specialistimportservices.co.uk.
What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry we collect your name, email address, business name, optional phone number and the shipment details you choose to give us. We use this information to review your requirement, to ask you for anything missing and to prepare a proposal. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a request you have made, and, where you go on to use our services, the performance of a contract.
If you verify your email address and save business details, we hold those details so that you can return to them and so that we can review them. We send you a one-time code by email to confirm that the address is yours.
Who we share it with
Enquiry details are stored on our website hosting (20i Limited, UK) and in our email system. Where a shipment goes ahead, relevant details are shared with the carriers, customs agents and other providers needed to move it; we will tell you who they are. We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing messages without your consent.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and account details are kept for as long as needed to deal with your requirement and for up to six years afterwards for our business records, unless you ask us to delete them sooner and we have no legal reason to keep them.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us at the address above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in to your account. Your enquiry draft is kept in your browser’s session storage until you submit it or close the tab.
